CUSTOM TRAVEL PLANNING

As with most professional travel agencies we charge non-refundable planning and research fees. THIS FEE IS COLLECTED BEFORE WE PERFORM ANY PLANNING. We work on a consultative basis to design trips customized to every client. Here is an ESTIMATE of our fees for most trips, though they may be customized based on trip complexity, duration, and number of travelers.

• from $150 for a trip that is 1-3 nights

• from $250 for a trip that is 4-10 nights Mexico & Caribbean

• from $350 for a trip that is 4-7 nights Europe (+$50 for each additional night)

• from $500 for a trip that is 4-10 nights Asia, Australia, Africa (+$50 for each additional night)

• from $750 for a trip that is 11-14 nights

Please note:

• Fees are based on 1-6 travelers in the ~same household. An additional $50/person/week thereafter.

• Fees apply to 1 destination. When adding multiple destinations, add +$100 for each additional destination.

• Fees that relate to group travel are a minimum of 200% surcharge to the above fees depending on the anticipated complexity and planning time.

• Proposal is for ONE overall trip proposal.

• Additional proposals for different destinations will be charged an additional planning fee of $200 per proposal.

Last minute booking surcharge of 50% for trip requests within 30 days of travel or 90 days of holiday travel.

HOTEL ONLY BOOKINGS

No fee - complimentary when client specifies which property and dates.

• $100 per trip if there is research involved in finding you the perfect property. This covers up to 3 hotels in one location.

• $50 late booking fee for all hotels requested within 14 days prior to departure.

Changes and cancellations: We understand that your plans can change, however due to the work that is put upfront to secure reservations, we reserve the right to charge a $50 fee per change or cancellation.

CONCIERGE and ADD-ON SERVICES

from $150 concierge fee per week of travel be added to any of the above for all additional details such as dining reservations, spa appointments, tee times, theater tickets, etc.

This fee is completely optional – if clients prefer to explore/make their own reservations for restaurants, theater tickets, and other optional components, it is not charged.

Our Trip Planning Fees cover the logistics of the trip, and includes land arrangements including hotels, trains, transfers, and scheduled activities. For our concierge services, such as local restaurant reservations, extensive scheduling and suggestions of self-guided activities during your leisure time, theater tickets, and other concierge services such as setting up a special event, our rates begin at $150 per week of travel.

 AIRLINE-ONLY RESERVATIONS

Lake Country Travel does not directly book airline-only reservation as present due to the uncertainty of schedules, operational challenges and extensive labor required. For these we encourage you to book with the airline directly. In the ever changing world of air-travel it is simply not our area of expertise. However, we do provide flight suggestions and will you advise you on the best way to get to the region.

AIR TICKETING FEES (booked in conjunction with a trip)

• $75 per person – Domestic flights (select clients)

• $100 per person – Domestic flights (new clients)

• $200 per person – International flights

• We do not offer assistance with award travel

AIR RESERVATION MAINTENANCE FEES (for schedule changes, name corrections and similar matters which require our professional assistance on a reservation

• $50 per person – Domestic flights

• $100 per person – International flights

RESERVATION CANCEL FEES

This is in addition to supplier penalties. This fee is collected directly from you BEFORE we will perfom any services on a reservation. This applies to both Voluntary and Involuntary cancellations.

• $150 per person minimum fee or 10% of total trip cost (whatever is higher)
